Support Hostelling!

Hostelling International USA (registered as American Youth Hostels, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization founded in 1934 to promote international understanding of the world and its people through hostelling. HI-USA is an organization driven by its mission of promoting global understanding through educational travel to hostellers of all ages.

All donations support our educational programs and the necessary infrastructure to keep our programs running, or you can direct your donation to a specific initiative if you choose.

In-Kind Donations:
We can always use the following materials:
- office supplies
- art supplies (posterboard, paint, markers)
- computer equipment or recent software in working condition
- furniture in good condition

We also appreciate businesses and partners who can donate their services or resources to our mission! If you are responsible for an education, culture or travel-based organization and would like to donate in-kind services, please contact us

Postage Stamp Initiative:
Hostelling is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2009. HI-USA is working with hostelling supporters worldwide to promote the multi-national issuance of postage stamps commemorating the Centennial of Hostelling.

Volunteers:
The Oregon Council fulfills its mission via committees comprised of staff and volunteers. Our committees are:

- Communications/Marketing/Partnerships
- Hostel Operations
- Hostel Development
